Camarillo Shotokan

Camarillo Shotokan has been offering Traditional Shotokan Karate to it’s Ventura County residents since 1981. Originally founded by Sensei Victor Young (8th Dan), Camarillo Shotokan has since been passed down to one of Sensei Young’s longtime students, Shawn Danaher (5th Dan). We have devoted karate programs for Adults, Teens, Youth, and even Pre-Karate classes for the youngsters. Whether you’ve thought about taking up Karate, want to learn Self-Defense, or just simply looking for Structure & Discipline, Camarillo Shotokan is right for you! Sensei Shawn would be happy to give you a tour of the dojo (facility) and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you in person and eventually joining us on the floor!
